Hoang Son, Viettel Telecom director, said that this is the first time a telecom business provides an across-the-board solution for EDGE-based Mobile Data service.

Viettel's Data service is a comprehensive solution for mobile Internet users as it meets the needs for mobile phone-computer connection, rapid connection (4.6 times faster than GPRS), nationwide coverage, timeliness (around the clock) and fees (including seven fee packages).

Particularly, regarding Fee Package D0 with usage capacity of less than 1.5MB per month, customers are exempted from the monthly subscription fee and just pay the transmission fee (VND6 per kB).

Regarding Fee Package D50 for large-capacity mobile Internet users, the subscription fee stands at VND50,000 per month; the first 300MB monthly is free of charge; and the transmission fee is VND1 per kB after the first free 300MB. Regarding Fee Package D-com including D-com150 and one EG162G USB with a Viettel telephone sim, users can access the broadband Internet across Vietnam at an average speed of 120-250 Kbps. With a fee of VND300,000 per month, customers will use the first 3 Gb for free and pay just VND1 per kB after that./.
